Concession vs. the full Creative Worker visa
Both routes sit inside the same Temporary Work – Creative Worker category, sometimes called the Temporary Worker Creative Visa. Which one applies to your engagement depends on nationality and how long the work will run.

What has to be in place before you travel
The concession is a route into the UK, not a shortcut around the underlying requirements. Work through this with your sponsor before booking travel.
Valid Certificate of Sponsorship
Issued by ENT imm as your licensed sponsor for a genuine, qualifying role.
Non-visa national status
Applies to non-visa nationals and, in most cases, European nationals.
Engagement of 3 months or less
Total time working in the UK, including gaps between bookings, must not exceed three months.
Meets the Creative Worker requirements
The role must qualify under Home Office guidelines for the arts, creative or entertainment sectors.
Evidence of maintenance
Savings evidence at the border if ENT imm has not certified maintenance on the CoS.
Clean immigration history
You must meet the general grounds for refusal under Part 9 of the Immigration Rules.

A mandatory digital permission for non-visa nationals. This must be approved and linked to your passport prior to boarding your transport to the UK.
Does the concession apply to you?
Requirements under the Temporary Work – Creative Worker route differ by nationality.
Non-visa nationals are not required to apply for entry clearance before travelling to the UK as a Creative Worker, for engagements of three months or less (90 Days). Instead, permission to enter can be granted by a Border Force Officer at the border, provided you satisfy the officer that you qualify under this concession and hold a valid Certificate of Sponsorship. You will still normally need to obtain an Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA) before your travel.
If your engagement will run longer than three months, you’ll need to apply for a visa before you travel. Examples of non-visa national countries include the United States, Australia, Canada, Brazil, Singapore and Hong Kong, always check the current requirement for your specific nationality.
Visa nationals are always required to apply for entry clearance at an overseas British post, an embassy, high commission or consulate before travelling. This means the Concession does not apply, and a visa must be obtained in advance regardless of how short the engagement is.
Applications are submitted at a UK visa application centre and, if successful, a digital e-visa is issued and linked to your UKVI account before you fly. Examples of visa national countries include Nigeria, Ghana, China, India and Russia.
European nationals no longer benefit from free movement, and now follow the same Immigration Rules as other nationalities. Depending on the length of the engagement, many EU citizens can still use the Concession rather than applying for a visa each time they travel.
As with non-visa nationals, a Certificate of Sponsorship must be presented at the border, and the same 3 month limit and grounds for refusal apply.
