UK Filming Visa Requirements

Current Home Office rules allow for non-visa nationals to work in the UK as part of a film entourage solely on a certificate of sponsorship (CoS), as long as the work duration does not exceed 90 days. In order to qualify for a CoS, the migrant must meet the eligibility requirements as set out by the relevant UKVI codes of practices. It should however be noted that entry into the UK is not guaranteed with the issuance of a CoS, as this is decided at the port of entry into the UK by border officials. For a work duration above 90 days, a Tier 5 Creative and Sporting visa must be applied for through a Grade A rated sponsor in the UK. A Tier 5 visa or work permit will allow entry into the UK for temporary work purposes as a member of a film entourage.
